Microsoft is Behind in Moving the Desktop to the Cloud


And now the scramble to get folks to understand the implications of consumer computing in the cloud heats-up.

And Google is in the lead by a large margin.  Why?  Because they've virtually (tee hee) given it away for years now - all the while having other revenue resources to support it.

And VMware just bought Desktone.  I tried it and was really disappointed - at least at first glance.  I don't believe that consumers will flock to remote access Windows Terminal Server sites.

Just my humble opinion early in the conversation
