Manditory BYOD may seem a bit radical, and the financial benefits to organizations isn't the only compelling reason. When consumer and enterprise services converged a couple of years ago, the possibilities for the co-existence of business and personal devices were forged. Besides the data security and control issues that overshadow enterprise computing, there are few if any reasons not to merge consumer and enterprise boundaries, especially in the public sector. Now that Cloud storage and services have exploded onto the scene the traditional security and control arguments are diminished.
Don't look for all enterprise organizations to follow suit quickly, but the possibilities are improving.
