You used to be able to brag that you lived in a safe neighborhood where nobody locked their doors or cars and trusted each other.
Well, as far as the Internet is concerned, those days are gone. And if you haven't experienced an attack, a business interruption, or the infection or compromise of a personal device, you are lucky and in the minority.
Security and privacy issues continue to be a large part of the computing experience and they don't discriminate. yes there are more large-scale attacks on corporations and places where financial information can be mined, but we all are capable of being affected.
I will continue to report statistical data and support the Internet Bill of Rights as it evolves and gets more attention from those of us who want the Internet to be free AND safe.
