So much of what we do with computers in the Enterprise depends upon high-speed, wired networks. As BYOD (Bring your own device) demands increase, so does the pressure to provide WiFi connectivity INSIDE the firewall. The current bandwidth, density, and capacity of these wireless networks coupled with sophisticated monitoring and bandwidth management capability bodes well for the future of wireless networks, especially in small to medium size companies.
Look to the likes of Meraki and Xirrus as two excellent examples of smaller companies who will provide infrastructure hardware and software. Obviously Cisco continues to be the leader in the field, thus far.
