Think Google is taking over your brain?

How do we know anything, anyway?

Well, centuries ago, we asked somebody close by.  Then the church became the seat of information and scribes documented everything known into huge volumes.  Then Gutenberg invented the printing press and everybody suddenly had access to information previously controlled by the church.

The rest is history.  And Google is now a part of that history.  The difference is that now they are the indexer and conduit of information, rather than the repository.

Fascinating stuff.
